PRESCHOOL PROGRAMS (AGES 2 TO 5)

All of our programming is age appropriate and focuses on dance skills, social skills, motor development, and musicality in a fun and positive atmosphere. Registration link is here.

Ages 2.5-4 (Tiny dance programs)

We have three options for our Tiny Dancers. Tiny Ballerinas, Tiny Ballerina Tappers, and Tiny Tumblers. We offer half year programs (September to December, January to May), and full year programs (September to May) for this age, as well as morning and afternoon options. We are very flexible with our Tiny dancers, and have a flexible refund plan should your little one decide that dancing is not for them.

Tiny Ballerinas

Our 30 minute classes are a combination of creative movement and beginner ballet, introducing dancers to RAD syllabus (internationally recognized and standardized ballet syllabus) in a group setting. Dancers will be introduced to dance technique through imaginative settings and games with our positive and friendly instructors. Dress code: Mondor pink cap sleeve bodysuit, pink wrap skirt, Mondor ballet pink tights, Bloch full sole leather pink ballet slippers. Hair in a neat bun with hair net (if possible).

Half year dancers will do a Christmas performance (costuming is required, usually a nice Christmas dress).

Full year dancers will be in the Christmas show (costuming is required, usually a nice Christmas dress), and will also be in one local festival as well as the year end show in May (costume is ordered, deposit is non-refundable after order is placed). We will be offering the option of an out of town festival/competition for interested dancers and families. This is not mandatory.

Tiny Ballerina Tappers

This class is a 45 minute class that allows dancers to try ballet and tap in the same year. The first half of the class is a combination of beginner ballet and creative movement (introducing students to internationally recognized RAD syllabus in a fun and imaginative setting), and the second half of the class is beginner tap (introducing students to internationally recognized Al Gilbert tap syllabus). This class is offered in half year (September to December, January to May), or full year (September to May) sessions, and students will require proper class attire. Dress code: Mondor pink cap sleeve bodysuit, pink wrap skirt, Mondor ballet pink tights, Bloch full sole leather pink ballet slippers, Bloch beige Tap-Ons. Hair in a neat bun with a hair net (if possible).

Full year dancers will be in the Christmas show in their ballet shoes (costuming is required, usually a nice Christmas dress), and will also be in one local festival as well as the year end show in May in their tap shoes (costume is ordered, deposit is non-refundable after order is placed). We will be offering the option of one out of town festival/competition for interested families and dancers.

Tiny Tumblers

This class is an introduction to the Acrobatic Arts syllabus, and starts Tiny dancers with age appropriate tumbling, strength and flexibility skills in a fun and positive setting with our Acrobatic Arts certified instructors. Dress code: Mondor pink cap sleeve bodysuit, black fitted shorts, Mondor ballet pink transitional or footless tights, bare feet. Hair in braids, low ponytail or pigtails (if possible).

Half year dancers will do a Christmas performance (costuming is required, usually something we can add onto their class attire, like a scarf, etc.).

Age 5 Programs (kindergarten) – Kinder Dance Programs

Our kindergarten classes are 30 minute classes that run our whole season (September to mid May), and dancers will have the option of Acro, ballet, tap, jazz and/or hip hop. Dancers require proper studio wear (see below for studio approved brands), and will be performing in the Christmas show (costume required, usually a nice Christmas outfit), as well as one local festival and the year end show in May (costumes are ordered, deposit is non-refundable once costumes are ordered). Dancers have the option of two out of town competitions.

Kinder Ballerinas – dancers are introduced to the Pre-Primary/Primary RAD syllabus in a a fun and positive environment, while learning motor skills, social skills, class etiquette and dance fundamentals. Ballet is the foundation for which all all dance is built on, and is a good place to start if you are unsure. Dress code: Mondor pink cap sleeve bodysuit, pink elastic waist skirt, Mondor ballet pink tights, Bloch full sole leather pink ballet slippers. Hair in a neat bun with a hair net (if possible).

Kinder Tappers – dancers are introduced to the fun and rhythmic world of tap dancing, while learning the internationally recognized syllabus of Al Gilbert tap repertoire. Dancers will require proper dance attire. Dress code: Black tank bodysuit, fitted black shorts, Mondor light tan tights, Bloch beige Tap-Ons. Hair in a neat bun with a hair net (if possible).

Kinder Jazz – dancers are introduced to the amazing world of jazz dancing, which can include jumps, turns, and moving to upbeat music. Dancers will learn basic stretches and age appropriate moves. Dress code: black tank bodysuit, fitted black shorts, Mondor light tan tights, Bloch beige elastibooties. Hair in a neat bun with a hair net (if possible).

Kinder hip hop – dancers are introduced to the exciting world of hip hop, which can encompass many styles, such as popping, locking and house, while keeping all dances family friendly and age appropriate. Dress code: comfortable clothing to dance in, no jeans, all white shoes (to be worn in hip hop class only, never wear studio shoes outside until the dance season is over, it wrecks our floors). Hair in a neat ponytail.

Kinder Acro – dancers will be introduced to Acro, a dance form that incorporates gymnastic moves with dance fluidity and motion. Dancers will begin syllabus training with the primary level of Acrobatic Arts syllabus. Dress code: black tank bodysuit, black fitted shorts, light beige Mondor convertible or footless tights, bare feet, hair in a low ponytail or two French braids.
